Manuals and factsheets are usually at the lower end of the design pool. They are made from initial templates that are approved by the customer and then used for many different topics and products. These are just two examples of templates I worked with to roll out hundreds of different products. The process, after the tweaking of the templates, would be simple.. usually receiving the material in a Word document, then extracting it and populating the template. Then sending it to proofing and back to the customer for distribution or uploading it to a vendor site for online distribution or printing. The manual in this example is part of the acquisitions that I oversaw and worked with the customer to keep track of and update as necessary.
